About NearbyTruckStops
NearbyTruckStops is a directory and resource hub built for professional drivers, owner-operators, and fleets across the United States and Canada. We help you find truck stops, fuel, parking, repair, and the services you need—fast—whether you’re planning a route or hunting for a parking spot at 2 a.m.
Our Mission
Finding the right stop on the road shouldn’t cost you time you don’t have. Between fuel prices, parking availability, hours of service, shower and food options, and repair shops, drivers juggle a lot of details at every stop. Our mission is to put that information in one place—clear listings, real amenities, and accurate locations—so you can make a decision and keep rolling.
Listings are organized by relevance and proximity to where you are or where you’re headed, not by who paid the most. We want the directory to be useful first.
How We Build & Verify Listings
Every location in our directory comes together through a multi-step process before it goes live:
- Aggregated business data. We start with publicly available business listing data—sourced from mapping providers such as Google Maps (via Outscraper)—to establish each location’s name, address, coordinates, and category.
- Contact and location verification. Our team confirms that listed phone numbers, addresses, and websites are active and point to the correct truck stop, travel center, or service provider.
- Amenity and detail extraction. We pull together details that matter to drivers—truck parking, fuel and DEF, showers, restaurants, scales, repair services, hours, and amenities—so you can compare stops on what actually counts.
- Operator submissions & ongoing refresh. Owners and operators can submit or claim their location to add and correct details. Listings are periodically re-checked, and locations that close or become unreachable are flagged and removed.
If you spot outdated information or believe a listing is inaccurate, please contact us and we will investigate promptly.
Editorial Standards
All guides, articles, and resources published on NearbyTruckStops are held to the following standards:
- Practical, road-tested research. We reference authoritative sources—such as the FMCSA, DOT, and CVSA—and real-world driver experience when covering topics like hours of service, weigh stations, and parking rules. Sources are cited within articles where applicable.
- No pay-for-play content. Our articles are written independently. Businesses cannot pay to influence the conclusions or recommendations in our content.
- Regular updates. Fuel programs, regulations, and stop amenities change. We review and update published articles for accuracy, and each one displays its last-updated date prominently.
- Clear scope and limitations. Our content is informational, not legal or regulatory advice. We encourage drivers and carriers to confirm current rules with the FMCSA, DOT, and their own compliance teams when it matters.
